New Year, New Me... Who Dis?

Updated: Nov 6, 2022

As we welcome the New Year, we should also welcome new energies - keeping in mind that time is a continuum and that a new calendar doesn’t change anything without action. 2020 will always be remembered for its global pause. It has taught us many life lessons and has breathed new life and truths into the Black collective and creative spaces.

So, as we crawl, walk, run or levitate into and throughout 2021...

Dare I ask you...

What are some ways in which you could have shown up for yourself?

Do you need to:

  • Start therapy?

  • Give yourself grace?

  • Set healthy boundaries?

  • Live in the moment?

  • Be intentional about choosing joy?

  • Take a chance on yourself?

  • Invest in yourself?

  • Speak up?

  • Plan, and actually execute, present and future goals?

  • Have the courage to walk away from things, people or places that don’t serve your well being?

  • Boldly walk into and claim new spaces that foster the growth of your interpersonal talents?

  • All of the above and then some?

Although International Mind-Body Wellness Day (January 3rd) has already passed, we challenge you to consciously choose yourself - in mind & body - each and every day.

If living, in itself, hasn’t taught you anything, 2020 has reminded and confirmed that:

  1. Life is short

  2. The next moment is NOT guaranteed

So live!
